Fractured Self
Couldn’t resist taking this picture of the broken mirror left on the curb. Didn’t intend for it to be a self-portrait, but in many ways it reflected, pun intended, how I was feeling today. Seemed fitting somehow. My emotions have been all over this past week. I am filled with a sense of gratitude, yet also some sadness I realize due in part to Hurricane Sandy. Even though I live 3,000 miles away, I grew up in NJ and has been hard to fathom the loss and yet was inspired by the many back east, including those without power, participating in the Art Every Day Challenge. I figured, what’s my excuse?
